D. Bradley Peck is a partner in the Cooley Business department and is resident in the Shanghai office. He joined the Firm in 1984 after graduating from Harvard Law School, and was instrumental in the opening of the San Diego office in 1992. From 1996 to 2000, he served as Partner in Charge of the San Diego office. Mr. Peck specializes in corporate and securities law and concentrates his practice in the representation of technology companies ranging from start-ups to publicly held corporations. He has been counsel to companies in a broad range of industries, including computer hardware and software, telecommunications, health care, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology. In his practice, Mr. Peck has handled and supervised a variety of significant business transactions, including public and private financings; mergers and acquisitions; corporate partnering; joint venture and other strategic collaborations; and other technology transfer transactions. Mr. Peck has also represented venture capital investors in numerous financings and has worked extensively with leading investment banks. Mr. Peck received his J.D. in 1984 and was admitted to the California bar that year. He graduated magna cum laude from Dartmouth College in 1976 with an A.B. in mathematics. Prior to attending law school, Mr. Peck was a commercial banker with the Bank of Boston in its Asia/Pacific Division and served two years in the bank's Melbourne, Australia office. Mr. Peck is a member of the State Bar of California, the American Bar Association and its section on corporation, banking and business law, and the San Diego County Bar Association.
