2009 Annual Review
Dear Clients and Friends,
2009 was a year that challenged all of us. We know from working alongside you that the past year demanded new forms of thinking, innovation and a reassessment of conventional strategies. In sharing with you some of the highlights from 2009, we seek to affirm our appreciation for the important work you have entrusted to us, and to demonstrate how we delivered creative solutions demanded by today's marketplace.
The economic climate of the past two years has required businesses and individuals across industries to take a harder look at their operations and identify opportunities to compete more effectively. Our commitment to our clients has only strengthened in this time, and we continue to approach each challenge—whether providing counsel to a clean energy entrepreneur's newest venture, advising a public technology company in a critical strategic alliance, helping a national retail brand restructure or advocating on behalf of a global financial institution—with the goal of finding the most creative and efficient solution.
Our Firm has always taken pride in making a positive contribution to the communities in which we practice, and 2009 was no different. As we have grown in scale to better serve you in more locations and with greater depth, we have also sought to replicate Cooley's values across the country. We are proud to share with you some of the ways we are making a difference through our pro bono representations, support of legal aid and charitable organizations.
