Cooley Partner Nik Patel Named Law360 Rising Star
Washington, D.C. -- April 23, 2010 -- Cooley's
Nik Patel, a partner in the firm's
Clean Energy and Technologies practice, has been named a "Rising Star Under 40" by the legal news service Law360.
Patel, who is based in Washington, D.C., has served as counsel in the acquisition, sale, development and financing of more than 7,000 megawatts of wind, solar, biomass and hydro projects for some of the largest renewable energy companies in the United States.
Patel's practice focuses on project development and finance, renewable energy policy, carbon management and clean energy technology. Acting primarily for developers, he develops and finances numerous renewable energy and conventional energy projects, and also provides counsel to clients in developing efficiency and renewable energy transmission solutions.
